A scar is an area of fibrous tissue that replaces normal skin after an injury. Scars result from the biological process of wound repair in the skin, as well as in other organs and tissues of the body. Thus, scarring is a natural part of the healing process.
But Sometimes this scarring leads to raised/ depressed skin areas leading to unsightful appearance.
This is very common in adolescent age group, post Acne healing. Also called as ‘Acne Scars’.
Scars can also result post trauma, injury on any area of body. They may even result following any surgery/operation.

Fractional CO2 laser – It is RF excited CO2 Fractional Laser System that fires a laser beam which is then split into number of microscopic super fine beams, producing tiny dot, or pixel-like treatment zones within the selected target area of the skin, leaving the other zones within it perfectly intact. Therefore, the heat of laser only passes deeply through the fractional damaged area. This allows the skin to heal much faster than if the whole area was treated. During the skin self-resurfacing, a great amount of collagen is produced for skin rejuvenation, eventually the skin will look much healthier and younger.
